Braxton came over from Charlotte to join us in the fourth and Sheila in the fifth, Carolyn came in the sixthg Rachel, the seventhg Jimmy Freeman the ninth, and Junior Booth, the twelfth. Our Freshman officers were: Janette, pres., Sheila, V. P., Mary Ann. sec., and Beal, treas. We were naturally green as most are, but the seniors soon initiated us on Freshman Uay. We all were miserable, but had oodles of fun. We gave a party to the Juniors at the swimming pool. Our Sophomore officers were: Carolyn, pres., Beal, V. P., Mary Ann, treas., Jeanie, sec. This year we really had fun. Everyone was so enthused about football and most of our girls were cheerleaders. We gave the seniors a party at the bay front. Our Junior officers were: Dicky, pres., Don, V. P., Jeanie, treas., Janette, sec., and Wayne, S. C. rep. We worked hard selling magazines and stationery in order to raise enough money for the banquet and prom. We also had a Junior play, Luna tics at Large which was a big success. Sheila D. and Billy W. won the best acting awards. Everyone agreed that our theme for the banquet and prom Hitch Your Wagon to a Star , was the most inspirational and beautiful the school has ever had. After the banquet, the students went to the community hall and danced in a beautiful garden under twinkling cardboard stars. Mighty seniors at last, we started the year off with a bang by electing Billy, pres., Carolyn. V. P., Janet, sec., Sheila, treas., and Wayne, S. C. representative. Mary Ann was annual editor. All year we worked hard on the Silver Tarpon, the best ever edited. The highlight of our year was our two senior skip days where we went to Sand Mountain, Cypress Gardens, Bok Tower and the Beach. Our Circus Class Night brought the house down with laughter! Graduation and baccalaureate following soon after. ended our memorable and wonderful school years at Charlotte High School. m - 4 ' lr'. . , ,-,-- -5. 2-'3 :??-':-v.'-'Q S?-fc-v5cP-'1 e' 5 ' M' ' gig:-V 1 -: S 5? :g-ff.:--'-4,5 fs- P' I 3 55.31 -0 13? ljamg gjmfnfzwlq' G 'GZWMP Johnny Bryant now has is own Paint the Bodyn shop on the Mami-Tiami path in Blackbottom.
