Mathematics — A a Important Slement in Every day Civing DALLAS STALL Physics, Plane Ge- ometry Almost as soon as a child begins to talk, the parents teach the youngster to distinguish the difference in quantity. This is his first introduction to the fasci- nating world of mathematics. In time he will learn how to add and subtract, then how to figure out complex problems easily through the use of mathematics. This knowledge will, in later life, benefit him very much. The math department of the high school works conscientiously to get the subject matter across to the stu- dent, and make it as clear as possible. As time goes by, the student will realize just how important that math class really was! A traditional scene in the plane geometry class EUGENE STRAIT is a student explaining a problem at the board.
