I We, the Senior Class of 1954, sincerely dedicate this 1954 CHARHIAN to our advisor and friend, Jarvis Wotring. During our four years of high school Mr. Wotring has guided our class as a whole through our many class projects and groups of our class in extra curricular activities. One of the outstanding events in which he played a vital role was the annual Junior Play, “The Curious Savage , of which he was the director. The Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom were two more undertakings in which his help was indispensable. During the seven years Mr. Wotring has been teaching at Charlotte High School, the many students who have en- joyed the privilege of being in his classes have not only re- ceived knowledge from books but also knowledge which only certain gifted persons can impart. In appreciation for his service to us we dedicate this CHARHIAN to Mr. Wotring. 2
