FFHHCIS Esch I could hardly say, as I don't know the flrst fellow Class of 55 Puts on Concert Th1s muslc rev1ew was wr1tten up for the New York Da1ly M1rror Last mght at Carneg1e Hall the Charlotte class of 55 put on tremendous concert Leadmg the orchestra was Stanley Anderson H had a great amount of lnfluence because of hrs gxgantlc stature Tommy Beals dld a superb Job IH the plccolo sect1on He seems to have a speclal talent for that mstrument Other members of that sect1on were Jack Pente cost B111 Plerce B111 Pugh and Wendell Anderson Playmg the tuba was Sandy Sassaman He d1d an excellent Job but ln one number he blew so hard that the French horn sec tlon COIlS1St1I'lg of Laura Walker Beverly Young Monlca Everts and Carolyn Smallwood was blown clear across the stage Lynn Brown seemed to be hav lng trouble keepmg tlme played the bass drum and hrs asslstants playlng the snare drums were Charles Sherd Don Marsh and J1m Hoffman Whxle she was playmg her cymbals Sandr'1 Granger managed to catch Joel Coopers head between them There was a dull thud whxch ru1ned the entlre pxece For lovely background muslc Gary Beebe played the harp Headmg the VlOlII'l sect1on was Kay Barnhlll who seemed greatlv dlsturbed wxth Gary Barnett who broke a G strmg aurmg the play mg of Mmuet ln G ' Whxle Rlchard Allen played h1s bass flddle Gary Fassett th1nk1ng he was at a barn dance started calllng the dances Marlene Mar tens hushed hlm up by playmg her trombone even louder than before In the mlddle of Rachmamnoffs Prelude m Cqlt M1nor, Roger Martln went berserk and began poundlng out B1rth of the Blues on the plano At thlS pomt, Martha Barnaart started crymg because of the state of thmgs 16 Sultor On what grounds does your father obJect to me' G1rl frlend On any grounds vv1th1n a mlle of our place A CONSTANT LOVER?
