T.V. Commercials .... Main Street was buzzing with stu- dents. busy painting victory slogans on store windows. Garages were filled with pure pandemonium as classes did last minute touches on their floats. The queen to be and her court were prob- ably the five most nervous girls in Charlevoix. You could feel the excit- ment in the air as everyone waited for the evenings results. And the 1977 Fall Homecoming Queen is . . . Julie Wimmer!! Friday was a total waste as far as school was concerned. Nobody could study because their minds were center- ed on the night's game. Finally it was 7:00 and the rain was beating down hard, destroying all the work that had been done on the floats, but still they drove on. First was taken by the Soph- omores with, McRayders,,' second by the Freshmen with, Coke Adds Life, and the Juniors in third with, How Do the Saints Spell Grief? All were battered and torn by the wind and rain but it seemed that the Seniors bombed the worst when their float caught a strong gust of wind while crossing the bridge. Needless to say, the Seniors took last place with their float, 'gRight Guard. Mr. Stutzman and his band put on one of their great half time shows to help the Rayders defeat St. Ignace. Everyone put forth all their ef- fort and craziness: and were rewarded with a victory dance. 'Y itil 00
