CLASS HISTORY Early In September of the year 1932 we began our Journey Into the mysteries of the three R ' s, which, for most of us, has contin- ued until this year of 1946. The main activity of that year was falling In the fish-pond, which very few of us escaped. The first grade was high-lighted by the song, Though April Showers May Come Your Way. In the second grade our most thrilling event was the present- ation of a wedding gift to our teacher, Mrs. Cook — a cake knife and red table cloth. The third grade was one of scrubbed tooth and nail with Mrs. Dick. Suzy Little Suzy was our favorite harmonica number. Miss Millar welcomed us In the fourth year. Jack Mol with his antics Joined our class that year, and has been with us ever since. m In the fifth grade Miss Dittmer worked on our talents with a radio program, Gus Fotchman was the announcer, while Lois Snap- ton and Ed. Novotny starred as entertainers. them. We had co-teachers in the sixth grade and did we ever tease A mm Imagine] We have now reached the seventh grade, our first year In Junior High, and did we ever think we were something. Miss Milner really calmed us d own, and quick. Max Smith with the decimal point was a corker. Our second year in Junior High wasn ' t nearly as exciting, the novelty of our new envirovment had worn off. Our Freshmen year finally arrived. We were in High School, and we let everyone know It. The fellows helped with the knitting for war relief and we received the stars and bars for armbands as a reward. Our Sophmore year was uneventful and the teachers were glad for a year of comparative peace. The J-Hop was the outstanding accomplishment of our Junior year. We also gave the play Sneak Date, which was a great suc- cess. We are now Seniors. Sports have been the highlight of this year. Our play, Let Me Out Of Here, was very successful, and we had a trip as a reward for those many hours of practice. We wore our class colors, blue and white , for graduation. The boys had blue gowns and the girls white. Our flower was the carnation nd our motto: Today we will follow, tomorrow we will lead.
