Over the summer, several students took time out of their leisure to attend institutes that pertained to their vary- ing interests. These interests included business courses, a speech and hearing therapy class, and sessions with Speak- ers on the subject of student leader- ship. The students stayed one to two weeks in the dorms provided by various colleges such gs IU Bloomington, Pur- due, and Indiana State at Terra Haute. Staying in dorms and living on campus created a college atmosphere, which in turn left the responsibility oflearning up to the students. Not only did the students learn new skills, but they also met new friends who at times helped them forget about home.
