Home Economics Gretchen Anderson Mary Earp Janet MeLemore The duty of the home economics staff is to provide in- struction which will equip families with the ability to im- prove the quality of their family life through more efficient development and utilization of human and material re- sources. It is with this in mind that we face the task of teaching our girls. Agriculture We are aware that only two out of ten farm boys complete a full four year college course. We are also i aware of the fact that approximately the same percen- I : tage remain on the farm. Our students are trained and taught to take their positions in society in their com- munity, as leaders. They are each trained in coopera- i tion such as group programs, fund raising, conducting meetings and taking part in them, attending and tak- 5 ing part in county, district, and state F.F.A. meetings. Each boy is trained to conduct meetings in observance of the Robertis Rules of Order. Joe Williams

Business Department Cu rol Briganee Scott Du ugherty ,h. We believe that the first duty of our department is to offer vocational training to students who, when graduating from high school, will need to go to work to support or help support themselves. Our students should be well enough trained, after taking all the courses offered by this department, to obtain a job as a typist, secretary, stenographer, or a general of ice worker without any further training. We believe all students should have a basic knowledge of business, and the college bound one should certainly have this. We believe that each student in a skill training course like business should be al- lowed to advance at his own rate of speed. This will permit him to excel as high as his aptitude will permit.
