Guidance has the important task of dis- covering the abilities and interests of the indi- vidual student and of leading him to partici- pate in such activities as will provide oppor- tunity for the development of these abilities and interests. A girlsi counselor, boysi counselor and guidance director are in charge of guidance activities of the school and work particularly with students in junior and senior high school. Students and their parents are urged to visit the guidance office and talk with the counselors. The guidance counselors help students: To schedule courses for the coming year To plan a tentative four year high school program of studies To make schedule changes after the se- mester begins To check credits To learn college entrance requirements To study college catalogs To secure information about different occupations To obtain permission to carry extra cred- its To make arrangements for standardized tests iaptitude, intelligence, subject matteri To obtain help in personal and social problems To arrange for part-time schedules
