--' “rr RICHARD C. LAVALLEE Zola A.F.S. Exchange Student to Germany— Summer Program Live not to contradict and compute; not to believe and take for granted; but to weigh and consider. A.F.S. is people, and the greatest part of my experience in Germany was my contact with people, more than just seeing all the different beautiful sights. What I got from the trip. then, really isn't tangible. It did change a few ideas I had about people, and it gave me some real experience to think about. I had plenty of time to do this thinking and to appreciate everyone who helped me to get over there. REINHILD MARIA SCHUHLE Reini A.F.S. Student from Germany Try to get the best possible—with the least possible effort. In Germany we go to school six days a week; we go in the morning and return home in the afternoon to eat lunch, do our homework, and relax. We have no school clubs and less homework where I live, but there is something here that is the same in Germany: the friendliness and helpfulness with which you received me. Thank you all. YAMILEE ANA BLANCO CASTRO I.C.Y.E. Student from Costa Rica Yamy This is the very perfection of a man. to find out his own imperfection. School life in Baldwinsville certainly is very different from life in Costa Rica, but I like it. I like all the subjects equally well; the teachers and the students are quite considerate and helpful to me. Living in San Jose. Costa Rica, isn't as different from living in B’ville as you may think. Believe it or not. we live in houses like you. drive around in new cars, and shop at Montgomery Ward. Sears Roebuck and the local supermarket. 27
