FOREWORD History by apprizing men of the past, will enable them to judge of the future; it will avail them as judges of the actions and designs of men; it ivill enable them to know ambition under every guise it may assume; and knowing it, to defeat its views. If Thomas Jefferson were living today, he would no doubt be amazed at the acceptance of his immortal words, but how right he was. Thus, it was felt that recognition should be paid to the prin- cipal contributor to Baldwinsville's history; the Indian. We have, therefore, endeavored to present the Indian as our theme in this, the I960 LYRE; and we hope that as the reader enjoys the LYRE, he will never lose sight of his fabulous heritage; since losing our heritage is like losing our health; with- out either wfe are weakened. %  . M A-.-. ADMINISTRATION m ml Pi Mil To the Class of I960, 'CONGRATULATIONS! The Class of 1960 will have the distinction of being the first class of over 200 students to graduate from Baldwins- ville Academy and Central School. You will be remembered for the fact, but more important you will be remembered for your many accomplishments. Accomplishments are the rewards for giving, whether it be time or effort and always keep in mind that no person has ever been honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave. 1 MR. RAY District Principal MR. DURGF.F Assistant District Principal MR.
