the toys of yope It is the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty-five and suddenly we’re pages in the court of Queen Vickery. We chose as spokesmen for our cause: Joe Guyder, Jane Pillans, Marie Van Ness, and Joanie Quackenbush. Under their expert leadership we w'ere able to fulfill several successful deeds; such as, a bake sale and the sale of school beanies. Our declared masters of oratory were Dick Hendrickson and Dawn Lewien. As we progress along the road to royal acclaim, 1956 finds us in the service of King Malian. Encouraged in our endeavors by our worthy peers: Kenny Tucker, LeRoy Frank, Jean Perrin, and Carol Nentwick, we achieved greater heights with the presentation of our Variety Show which was an outstanding success. Helping to build our treasury was the sale of mega- phones and red and white plumage. Each year finds us one step higher on the social pyramid, and 1957 is no different from the rest. Inaugurating the new year as Dukes and Duchesses, we presented a gala ball held in the Enchanted Forest. With Jim Blanchard, Sheila Montague, Bonnie Ham, and LeRoy Frank encouraging us on our last surge for recognition, a profitable sale of class pins was staged. Hailed as alchemist of our court for his award-winning scientific achievement was Brian Rhodehamel and selected keeper of the Elmira Key was Jayne Maniccia. Envoys representing the court of King Malian abroad were Kathy Stevens and Ken Tucker. Our goal reached at last, we, as Knights and Ladies, hope this year will hold for us as many pleasures as the preceding years. We shall never cease to encourgae others along their roads to royal acclaim.
