RAYMOND VICTORY Umpic One of the more respected and quieter seniors, Umpie is a star in history and more than masters the rest af his subjects. He plays on our senior interclass basketball team, on the barn- yard league, and last year was on the hockey team. I l ...ff'f MARJORIE LOIS WARD I llmdgell Few girls enjoy hunting and target shooting and Mudge is one of those few. She sings in the chorus and plays the saxa- phone. She is secretary of the Senior Class, secretary of the 4 H Club and hopes to secure a position doing secretarial work when school lets out. ARLENE WHORRALL Arlene We're proud to say that Ar- lene is our prettiest senior and she is worthy of such honor. She plays the clarinet, sings in the Glee Club, belongs to Sub Debs, and plays basketball. Arlene will make some boss a model secretary. CHESTER WARNER Chet For only being here two years Chet sure has progressed on the social list. Our own Robert Tay- lor, with a New England accent. He's a star on our baseball, football, and basketball teams, and a member ofthe Hi-Y. How is that for progress? JANUARY GRADUATES Gone but not forgotten. This part of the book would not be complete without the men- tion of our three January Grad- uates: Donald Gates, who was noted for his flame-red hair, wit and cars. Alice Loveless, who will be remembered for her lovely com- plexion and self-control. Barton Nesdell, who could never be forgotten, if you know what I mean. MILDRED RHODE Millie Another quiet girl is Millie. Although she is quiet she has an amazing sense of humor and is full of eagerness. She likes to cook lthere you ore, menll and swim and play volleyball. Her P0Sf-graduate plans are going to Business School. HAROLD TUCKER Tuck Tuck sure hit B'ville with o bang and has been going ever since. He's a second Gilder- sleeve and for being here only two years he has done well in making himself known especial- ly with the seniors. 'W J im...j.-...-e- ,QLD l ' ,L LESLIE RURY Hurry' Here is the second president of our junior class and vice president of the Journalism Club. He plays on our football and basketball reams and is Co- Editor of the Lyre. Besides puz- zling Mr. Eddington he plays in the orchestra and hopes to go to West Point. PAlgD3:i:1qnvZs?,h Pee Wee' Sleep is an excitement-hat- er. Where there is excitement there is not PeeWee. He is a member of the Hi-Y and one of Miss Doran's prize French Ill students. Reuffwvfv-dl 'Ulrfjtrwj GENE WALDRON Genie Life is a song and I am the melody floating from key to key. This cute, blonde is an enthusiastic jitter-bug. S h e comes from Lysander on the bus every day and after graduation she is going to work. THE ' JANUARY GRADUATES Gone but not forgotten.
