MARIA JOHNSON Maria. accent on' the rye, the owner of the most perfect hands in B-ville, is another of our artists. Believe it or not, Maria really wants to be a teacher. EVELYN KERWOOD Ev's been making us green with jealousy over her sparkler, but she did look cute in her brother's pants on Crazy Day. Besides her bowling she takes home economics seriously. Wonder why!!! AN N KLOSTERNIAN Klondy, who ran the card party and forgot the cards, is breaking all previous records set by the candid camera addicts. Announced by her clanking bracklet two halls away, Annie certainly can't escape notice with her frequent tilifs with teachers. BETTY KOEGEL Boots, for all her frills and petiteness, is no shirker. A demon at volley ball and basketball, she's no mean bowler. While insisting on two E's in her name, she is at present tilling her scrap book with Bottle! ROSEMARY LONERGAN Rhody is the popular exception to the phrase, beautiful but dumb. She seems better suited to be a fashion plate than Valedictorian. l-ler clothes and hair cer- tainly have us sighing. Noted tor her hysterical spells in history class, she has held the ever-solemn position as editor of the Gazette. Rosemary favors Gvlee Club, bowling, and sailing: is headed tor Wellesley this fall. ROBERT LUCE Tunk, who seems to delight in confounding Mr, Getman. deplores all kinds ot rackets. An ardent scoutleader and l-li-Y prop-boy, he also did a good job of quieting those riots at the Senior meetings. Tunk was president. Besides all these activities, he tinds time to supplement that encyclopedia ot his. commonly called a mind. MAE ARLENE MARKHAM Maisie, who goes to all the square dances and never seems to get mussed up, also plays tennis and skis! Although she looks as if she couldn't dislike any- one. she claims an aversion to sloppy people. MARGUERITE McCANN To start the day right, Marguerite's Hello is a good beginning. Added to her roller skating and knitting is her cherished picture collection ot movie stars. JUNE McGlVNEY Mr. Getman clasps his head in anguish! Yes, June just asked another ot those inane questions. Since Santa brought her those ice skates, any snowy afternoon she may be found on the rink endangering the lives ot all other enthusiasts, June, we certainly will miss youll! CHARLES McMANUS Jerky sure liked his basketball, but a tough break this winter put him on the spectatofs side of the gym for the remainder of the season. Jerk spends his spare time chasing rabbits and coons around the vicinity of Dingle Hole. l-le's quite the dancer of B. H. S., having stepped right out this last year, 9

BETTY POTTER We won't see much of Betty Potter it that ring on her fourth finger stays put! Besides admiring her sparkler, she also indulges in volley ball, roller skating, and square dancing. Good luck and lots of happiness to you. Betty. PHYLLIS PULVER For the love ot Mike, Mabel, off your knees! Poor Phyl sure takes an awiul beating about her height. A top rate news editor and conversationalist, Mabe spent most ot her time this year in the home ec. room. GUS ROWE Gus, who has lately been Flatting all his notes, is tinally rid ot his pet hate- school. A member ot each and every organization and activity at one time or another, Augie's 'favorites are football and basketball. PHILLIP SAWYER Flip is another of those bowling maniacs. When he's not bowling them over, he's setting them up for some one else, Even though you have to do your sleep- ing in English class, it's worth it, isn't it, Phil? LILLIAN SCHWART1 Schwartzie, who never tails to have the right answer handy, is plumb datt about math. Perhaps we misunderstood, but even though she spent the evening dancing with Boycie. she did not enioy the Spring Formal! CARL SMITH Blop . . . Carl. did you throw that tootlight? Why Miss Roth, do you think ..... He's oft again, and ot course, Stitiiy always has the last word. Our giant and two letter man. no Gate-s too high tor him to easily hurdle!!! CARLTON SMITH We haven't seen Carlton lately. and he certainly is hard to overlook. It not the handsomest Senior, at least the runner-up, he takes his good tortune with great philosophical calm. JEAN SMITH Srnitty's the president ot the girls' bowling league. One ot our best, we still can't understand how she manages to stay on her feet. She claims she enioys horseback riding and tumbling: but her other hobbies, knitting and sewing, seem better adapted to her tragility. MARJORIE SUITS Mariorie. even though you may not have heard her say so. believes that there should be more plays in assembly, and that we could get along without American history very well. Mari, who works in the office and likes it very much, also finds time to go ice skating and swimming. ELIZABETH SWEETING It you need some intormation, assistance. or hard work done. just call tor Elizabeth. The most diligent ot all, she manages to include Journalism and bowling along with a membership on every committee this year. The mainstay ot the class, she deserves more credit then she'lI ever receive. I I
