P Hn.l.1Ps KOONCIC CLASS FLOWER CLASS COLORS Red and White Roses Red andiWhite CLASS MOTTO 'let us have a purpose in everything we dofl JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY . ln the year 1930 ,the present junior Class entered the first grade, thereby beginning their education. Of that number about six still remain with us. In the freshman year we were joined by twelve new students from Leetown, Summit l'oint, Shenandoah Junction, and Martinsburg. Four new members have joined us this yearg our number now stands at sixty-nine. The Junior Class has taken sports honors by winning the class basketball banner for the boys in 1939, and fd the girls in 1940. Among our athletic stars are Leonard Whitmore, John 0'Bannon, and -Terry Byrd. We have not missed scholastic honors, for in our midst are Jane Watters and Foster Brenneman, who have high averages in all their studies. Also high in scholastic ratings are Rosemary Harris, lletsy Moore, Mary Markle, VVallace Foltz, and Jack Manuel. The Junior Class is progressing. lt will reach the top. if 1-1-
