O P J Q , 1 ww-. ff Q5 Coach Willie Garner BASKETBALL Basketball, the nation's favorite indoor sporjzg was ush- ered into its season at Hart by a group of enthusiastic players. Some of the stars are: Gregory Chandler, Milton Harris, Robert Hebb, Alvin Madison, Marlon Simmons, L Keith Herron, Paul Jones, Michael Johnson, Johnathan Har- ris, Carlos Sisco, Michael Jarman, Jerome Swain and Marvin Smith. Coach Garner took the squad of cagemen and had the players in condition for the season. Hart's Jets had a victorious season winning most of their games. The Jets ended the season in 3rd place city wide. OTHER SPORTS ' Basketball is the major sport at Hart, but students are en- couraged to participate in other sports. Hart has a track team, softball team and intramural volleyball. This spring in track competitions, I-Iart was represented by Marshall Scott, Robert Witherspoon, Michael Stewart, Jesse Beverly, Wardell Barns, Earl Carter, Louis Beverly, Wayne Fontanelle and Steve Queen. Girls also participate in track competitions. Members of the Girls Track Team are: Elma Flowers, Jeannie Hayes, Denise Stubbs, Deidre Jordan and Antoinette Reeves. Mrs. B.
