(fetlightatment ©hey . Our years at Milby are a period of learning. We learn from books, and we learn from people. Both are invaluable to us in later years. The teachers have a tremendous responsibility to shape and develop the students' minds. It was once said, Time passes all barriers. In this re- spect, teachers are very similar to time. They work untiringly to reach their students with knowledge. This is the main theme behind all of our teach- ers here at Milby, but most especially two. Their names are not unfamiliar to the Seniors. One, an English teacher, who guided us, not only on the right path in grammar and literature, but also counseled us when we needed help in personal trouble. The other, a brilliant mathematician, whose quest for knowledge has not ended even yet. Each summer he returns to school to further his knowl- edge to better educate his pupils. Both gave unselfishly to their students, always ready to help whether it be early in the morning or late at night. Without their aid our future life would have been much more difficult. To these two, Mrs. Anna Stracener and Mr. K. H. Johnson, the 1965 Buffalo is respectfully dedicated, in the hope they will remain to enlighten other classes as much as they have enlightened ours, the Senior class of 1965. Mr. Johnson, in his quiet manner, inspires students to excellence in advanced mathe- matics. Mrs. Anna Stracener Mr. K. H. Johnson Mrs. Stracener takes advantage of a few moments solitude to devote full .attention to the coming day's lesson plans. 5
