Crowde Dads Support Milby Ihe Dad ' s Club which is the athletic organ of the fathers of the partici- pants has a record to be proud of during 1960. Along with sponsoring the football banquet for the varsity and the B-team, they sponsored an outing for all the spring sports. The President, J. S. Deleery, along with other members of the club negotiated with the School Board and Dr. J. W. McFarland regarding building improvements and boundary lines. Both ventures were considered a success. In the summer, the club has plans for a summer recreation program similiar to the one used in other cities in, Texas for building stronger football and track teams. The Dad ' s Club also assisted the coaching staff in securing equipment and films for the football team. The Track team also benefited from the efforts of the club by improve- ments on the grounds and equipping the athletic field for the shot put, high jump, pole vault, discus, and broad jump. i

P-TA Honors Students And Faculty for the past year at Milby, the P-TA has been striving for better relationship between parents, teachers, and students. The P-TA, a voluntary organization, has united the homes, school, and community for the bettering of youth activities. Leading the P-TA in their work is Mrs. E. L. McFeron, president: Mr. Roscoe Bayless, vice-president: Mrs. J. G. Gonzales, treasurer: Mrs. Roger Griffin, historian: Mrs, John McClinton, parliamentarian: Mrs. Clara McLendon, dean: and Mr. W. L Stevenson, principal. In their activities, the P-TA has accomplished much for Milby. They served at the Faculty Open House in October and March: they also served the sophomores in September and January. They gave away one P-TA life membership to Principal, W. I. Stevenson. A turkey dinner was held as a money-making project and sandwiches and cookies were served at Homecoming. At Mr. Stevenson ' s birthday reception, April 2, the P-TA served refreshments. Work on school petitions, co-operacion with teachers in the Christmas Party, nnd helping with the Hearing Test for students, and spon soring party for the winning homeroom in P-TA attendance.
