Offer Something of Interest to All The study of the world, its people, and their problems in past as well as bn present times, ranks Social Studies among Owen’s most interesting and meaningful courses. Students provided with a good background in Social Studies are more prepared to understand and cope with the problems and responsibilities of later life. They know the basic principles on which our government was founded and are able to evaluate our economic and democratic systems by comparison to the systems of other nations.
