On July 10, 1970 there was a loud knock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Y. L. Medlin. To Mr. Med- lin ' s surprise there stood the senior class of 55. After he had recovered from the shock he invited us into the house that had been built for his new wife! Later that evening we all sat around the fire¬ place reliving old memories. Then the question was asked, What are you doing now? We decided to list what each person was doing and then to see which of us had been most successful. Frankie Allen is now working as secretary at the Ford place in Detroit. Scott y and Julia now run an insane asylum. Donald plays ball for the Yankees. Oleta has settled down as a housewife in Alaska. Norman is a professional stock car racer. Duane Bogan doubles as a policeman and Mr. America. Essie Smathers has just bought out Sears Roebuck and Company. Bill is T.C. Robertson ' s assistant. Roy is a ball player who advertises Corn Flakes for energy. Donnie Giard and Clark Nanney are members of the Senate Crime Investigating Committee. Ann Whitaker is an English Professor at Duke. Sonia is test driver for Chevrolet. Michael is a quarterback on Navy 1 s team. Austin is a famous press photographer. Dottie has dyed her hair and plays for the American Redheads. Nell Golightlv and Billie Brown are secretaries to the President. John Williams and Ned Green are famous artist. Phil Miller is the worlds greatest art critic. Ima Jean is a stand-in for a famous movie star. Carolina is the head nurse at Duke Hospital. Anne Leathe rwood is busy in Occupational Therapy. Beverly and Nancy Wilson are models for a New York Dept. Store. Richard drives a truck from Nebo to Pensacola. Daniel and George are famous Jet Aces. Jean spends her Avers with Dean and Dean Jr. Gail Allen is making records for R.C.A. Lois and Cleta are dis- jockeys. Carl Duncan has become rich after discovering his own formula for removing freckle s. Buzzie is a famous Hanover Model. Mildred is now co-owner of Kress and Co. Sara Dillingham is now Mrs. Williams and t. e a c h e s Agriculture at Biltmore. Harold Davidson and Henry Rogers are sailors in the far Pacific. Wayne Osteen has taken over the Perry Como Show. Nanc y Thompson is a veterinarian. Peggy w as a queen the last time we saw her. Paul Foster gets paid for his laugh on Inner Sanctum. J a c k i e Robe rtson is working in Beacon trying to get enough money to pay a garage bill. Johnny Fox was chosen the one most likely to pester the most people to death this year. Charle s Morrow is Governor of South Carolina. Margaret is a beauty operator with her own shop. Kenneth Atkins has just finished his book on How to Live W ithout Girls. Paul Moore is a senator of New York. Barbara Harding is the Bell of the Marines. Paul Gasperson is in charge of arresting loaferers in front of Knight ' s Drug Store. Sylvia sings on the Grand Ole Oprey accompanied by Wavne Hampton on the fiddle. Johnnie Hall and Loyd Bartlet t are m u 11 imillionarie s. Nancy J one s is (running for) Miss Universe. Grady and Reba aren ' t going steady anymore --they ' re married. Kenneth Elliott is the Nation ' s greatest engineer. Eugene Davis and Melton are termite exter¬ minators. Kathleen is a cigarette girl at the Stork Club. Martha has finally decided she ' d rather live in Swannanoa than in Kentucky. Ann McCall is a chemist ' s wife with a lot of little test tubes. Dot Allen , a WAAC, has received a Congressional Medal of Honor. Wayne Cordell and Donald Davis have discovered The Fountain of Youth in South Africa and are making money selling water. Geraldine Collins and Evelyn Padgett own a notorious Night Club. Dale Ritchie and Patty Tyson are professional basketball players. Shirley drives a grey hound bus. Frank Merrill is a stand-in for Gene Artery (he 1 s a rollin ' ). Irene is an undertaker. J ackie was named Miss Intelligence of 1970. Mary Frances and Pauline are ambassadors to Russia. Anna Louise is a Riddle and a pro¬ fessional tap d a n c e r. Patsy Noblitt is a great-great-grandmother now. Katherine and Robert own a Drug Store and Dry Cleaner Inc. Joyce Justus and Lynda are the new heads of Montreat School for Girls. Ava Lee is engaged to John D. Rockfeller 3rd. Thoma s and Grover have discovered a new species of ant-eaters in India. Dayton and Franees have taken Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez ' s place on T.V. Thelma is a Minister ' s wife. Marv Padgett and Patsy Reynold s are aldy wrestlers over T.V. Phyllis is a secret service agent, works for Jim Early. Betty Lou is owner of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. In a is now in her 6th seccessful marriage. Helen Dalton is a famous lady aviator. Barbara Dougherty is a dentist ( specializes on false teethL Bobby is Bob Hope ' s assistant. J ovee McCall and Shelby run a Beauty Salone for rich old ladies. J ack i s the World ' s Champion Typist and raises Banty Chickens. Carolyn is a top buyer of Banty Chickens. Hazel and Arlene have taken over the Betty Crocker program. Glenda . Grace and Sara Dickens explore haunted houses for the F.B.I. Carl Thompson owns a used car lot. A . T . and Bobby Stone run a Super Market and E.S.S.O. station Inc. Rowena Garrison is a Home Ec. instructor. Rhoda Morris runs a large Dude Ranch in Arizona. Lawrence is still trying to get out of the 12th grade. After everyone had finished, we decided thal Mr. Medlin was the most successful. You see, his wife is none other than Marilyn Monroe.
