STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council began its major activities during the early winter months. The after school dances were especially well attended during this time, with the seventh and eighth graders leading the way. The two night dances held during the year in cooperation with the city recreation depart- ment were especially well attended and enjoyed by all. A great success was the Sweetheart Swing record hop that boasted the best turnout of the year for a regular night dance. Other activities during the year included a basketball game that matched our Student Council and that of South Junior. The result was a 44-19 win for Gaskill. A Talent Show was presented to help support our foster child, Verra Frezza. This was a success. The Student Council also sponsored the Yearbook along with the Honor Society. Finally the Stcdent Council members served as hosts and hostesses throughout the year for numerous night social events.
