“Sing me a song of the sunny South , One with a sweet refrain ; Sing me a song of Dixie land , That I may he happy againP George A. Morton There is a cliche ' to the effect that man is not able to see the woods for the trees. Such could be our case, for we are so much wrapped up in our interests, work, and living at Charity Hospital and its School of Nurs¬ ing that perhaps we fail to observe the beauty, culture and other benefits of our surroundings here in the Crescent City. Therefore, the staff decided in this our 1950 CAPS and CAPES to use as our theme some phases representative of the City of New Orleans. Charity Hospital of New Orleans is located in Ameri¬ ca ' s Most Interesting City —New Orleans—the unique town located at the mouth of the majestic Mississippi in the very heart of the Deep South. The magnolia, our state flower, adorns the cover; our beauties represent the anti-bellum Southern belles; our students take part in the Spring Fiesta and the Mardi Gras. So pause for awhile with us, as we linger in the land where the sweet magnolias bloom.
