Because she has aided materially in the solution of our seemingly insurmountable prob¬ lems in training and has inspired us to shou lder the responsibility entrusted to us and to demonstrate at all times the nobility of the nursing profession, we dedicate our 1949 Caps and Capes to Miss Mae Knobloch. She is a model of the true nurse—one who is loyal, kind, sympathetic, sincere, and has contributed immeasurably to the building of character, not only in students, but in womanhood in general. 3

Within these pages we have attempted to present to you the highlights of our 1948-49 school year. Here at Charity, where we endeavored to prepare ourselves for our profession, we worked and played, studied and danced, slept through classes and crammed for exams and matured in our experiences. In trying to capture the true spirit of our school we hope we have captured those events which we will hold dear.
