To carry out the school colors, the queen was dressed in white surrounded by her attendants in red formals. They sat before a heart-shaped background during the ceremony. Dick Luke, a former high school student of C.H.S., was guest speaker. 954.7 V! ISV The l956 Homecoming Parade consisted of many beautiful floats led by the marching band and major- ettes. The seniors won top honors with their float, with second and third prizes going to the juniors and the sophomores respectively. Homecoming was climaxed by a ld-7 victory over Valley. The Chargers played their best offensive game of the season before a capacity crowd. They kept possession of the ball during most of the game and provided a thrilling spectacle for their audience. After the game a Homecoming Dance was held in the high school gymnasium, with the music being provided by the Swing Kings.
