MELLINGER Q With sincere gratitude for her efforts on behalf of all the students at Chardon High School the Yearbook Staff of 1959-60 hereby dedicates this yearbook to Miss Ethel Mellinger. Her pleasant attitude and personal warmth which have supplemented her unstinted devotion to her guidance work, have gained for her a great deal of respect and many friends. lt is this combination of qualities which gives Chardon High School a person deserving of its honor and esteem.

ost pring The 1959 spring season brought many social as well as athletic and cultural events to Chardon High School. Golf clubs were broken as well as track rec- ords. Our interest in drama and music was stimu- lated in the form of plays and contests. Prom-bound iuniors and seniors whirled through a Southern Garden, Mrs. Thrasher noted a record number of check outs when balmy weather finally reached Chardon, and of course our seniors left to pursue their chosen professions or to enroll in college. Yes, it was a gala spring season that ended too soon for most of us and gave way to summer.
