Valedictoria MARY ANN PRICE 1959 VALEDICTORIAN ln iust a few moments we will be official graduates of Chardon High School. As we become alumni we can look back on four wonderful years of work, fun, and growing up. We also look forward to the future, where we must put to good use those things which we have learned in order to succeed. l heard a quotation from Fulton J. Sheen's book, Life ls Worth Living, that l would like to pass on to all of you. He has this to say about living your life: 'If you walk facing the sun, all your shadows will fall behind you, it is only when you turn your back to the sun that your pathway is darkened.' l think this is good advice for all of us, not only for us who graduate, but also for you, our parents and friends, and for those of you who will remain behind us in school. If each of us will make God our sun, and if we will strive always to walk facing this Sun, then your lives should be filled with the bright lights of happiness and success. A final word to my classmates-leave Chardon High School with the knowledge that you possess the tools with which to be a success, it is up to you to select the right tool for the right iob. Good luck, and God bless you. n Speaks For Class ol i959
