They traveled to the State Finals in Co- lumbus and received a rating of ngoodurr Tom Davis Bonnie Perkins Gwendolyn Sue Pfahl , Blossom Dick Pulsifer Ohl This is more fun. . . . and my senior ring. Loud Applause for Band The compete l959 in privilege Chardon High School Band was invited to in the State Band contest held April 25, Pigua, Ohio. The Band was given this for having won a superior rating in the District Band competition March 21, l959 in Niles, Ohio. The trip to Piqua was a two day venture. Starting April 24, l959, the band traveled to Springfield, Ohio, and enioyed a night there. The next day the band members, with their director, Mr. Urho Seppeln, iourneyed to Piqua and competed in the State Contest. The band emerged with a rating of good for the state competition in high school bands.

With the excellent pitching of Charlie Grant, who tossed a no-hitter and Phil Alvord, Chardon compiled a league record of four wins, two Hilltoppers.are looking forward to an even brighter season in l960.
