FGREWORD E, the staff of the l946 Torch, herewith present to the student body and the world at large-the 8th Volume of the Chapman Technical High School Annual, the Torch . The high standard set by past volumes was not easy to at- tain, yet profiting from the experiences of our predecessors, we hope to have surpassed them. It has been our aim to picture the events since publication of the last Torch and to recapture that spirit- Tech Spirit so vitally a part of the class of 1946. We hope that we have succeeded in furnishing herewith a volume which will be a record of our class, a tribute to our school, and an inspiration to the classes which follow us. This year when the peace loving peoples of the world are striving to build a better world for tomorrow's generations, we are about to take our place and to make our contribution to that world.
