As our hero is inconspicuously strolling down the hail, he sights a colorful poster. “Hmm, unless my unbelievably sharp sense of observation fails me, this poster has not been here before. Perhaps if I read it, I will discover a clue as to the whereabouts of those students. Aha! Miss Panorama Contest, eh? That may be an important link in this disappearance caper.” So the panther decides to drop in on the pageant, and do a little investigating. “Ah yes, attractive, talented, young women. Very Clever. One of them must have the information I need.” When, however, our sly sleuth tries to get backstage to question the girls, he is confronted with hysterical annual staffers, and nervous contestants. Groping for the door, he escapes from certain death among the chaos. “Definitely not an organized crime ring.” he mutters. “Not organized enough!” Where are the students going????? Will the dashing, dynamic defeater of crime ever solve this intriguing puzzle? We can only hope, and keep our eyes glued to the screen. FEATURES 21 There’s More To Come!

Queens Reign In Land Of Make Believe Chapman High students have never displayed as much enthusiasm as was observed at this year’s Homecoming. The panthers refused to be discouraged and fought to make it one of the most exciting games of the season. The climax of the event was the crowning of Ann Hammett as the 1977-78 Homecoming Queen. First runner up was Jane Drummond and Cindy Lynch was second runner up. The social was the end to a perfect evening. The 1977 Homecoming was the greatest ever. Features 23
