I 965 Roaster 61116 Banquet MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD RECIPIENTS LEFT TO RIGHT: Jimmy Deaton, Most Valuable Football Backg Wayne Cannon, Most Valuable Boys' Basketball Playerg Kenny Amick, Most Valuable Football Lineman, Coach Bob King, Guest Speaker, Carolyn Martin, Most Val- uable Girls' Basketball Playerg Glenn Wessinger, Most Valuable Baseball Player. Eagle Club Members and Supporters honor Chapin School Athletes each year with the annual Athletic Banquet. On May 21, 1965, the Chapin Booster Club honored the Chapin School Athletes with the fifth annual athletic banquet in the school gym. Letters, athletic awards, and scholas- tic awards were presented. A special award was made to Coach J. H. Wil- liams in appreciation for the many services he has rendered to Chapin Athletics during the past nine years. Scholastic award recipients were Linda Meetze, Rachel Derrick, Paula Eargle, Sue Chapman, Rosemary Chapman, Linda Bickley, Mary Nell Koon, Melvin Frick, Gale Shealy, Al Koon, Ann Chapman, Patricia Bickley. Speaker for the occasion was Fur- man's Coach Bob King. An impressive address was made, directed to our school athletes, honored guests of the banquet.
