OUR LEADERS Dr. Johnston, superin- tendent of the Chapel Hill School System, plays a most necessary part in the administration of our high school, whether presiding at school board meetings, hiring teachers, or boost- ing our morale at the ball games. Miss Marshbanks, our principal, is chief admin- istrator for the high school. Aiding her is Mr. Jaynes, assistant princi- pal. Besides performing their regular duties both Miss Marshbanks and Mr. Jaynes give a generous a- mount of time to advising and talking with students. Dr. Joseph M. Johnston Superintendent Perhaps the greatest in- fluence upon our lives at CHHS is that of our teach- ers. Not only do members of the faculty instruct us, but they advise our clubs, direct pi ays, chaperone our parties, oversee our projects, and give us ad- vice. In these ways they contribute to the enrich- ment of our lives and make us each better and more mature individuals. Miss May Marshbanks Principal Mr. Edward Y. Jaynes Assistant Principal 18
