A native Chapel Hillian, Miss Andrews spent most of her early years in New Bern and Hillsboro, re- turning to graduate from Chapel Hill High School. She attended Women ' s Col- lege in Greensboro for two years, then completed her training at U.N.C. with an A. B. degree. Miss An- drews taught a total of thirty-nine years in var- ious North Carolina com- munities. For the past twelve years she taught algebra and Latin in Chap- el Hill High School. Most of us during our high school career have been in her homeroom or. at one time or another, in one of her classes or study halls. Miss Andrews has never spared herself in serv- ingthe best interests of every student. We came seeking help at all times, and whether before or after school, Miss Andrews was always there and ready to give assistance. Even after her retire- ment students have continued to request help. Her high standards and Christian spirit have been an inspiration to students and teachers alike. We will remember her for her generosity, unself- ishness, and devotion to our school. to a teacher and friend.

The civic clubs, churches, synagogues, and townspeople have all devoted their time and effort to us and our school. We are fortunate in beingpart of a university community. Many distinguished guests have spoken to our clubs and student body. We are proud of the fine farms surrounding our town. We take pride in the business establishments of Chapel Hill, our home town.
