Although Shiek came to us from the great City of Allendale, S. C., he has proven himself worthy of a good deal of credit. He not only starred as a baseball pitcher but also as an end in the line. The girls, however, seem to have a greater draw- ing power to him than basketball. The humor of this veteran of Ft. Bragg will not allow him to be as dignified as the aver- age, as his conduct shows at Hi-Y meetings. In addition to being a good all-round fellow, he has a tendency for music, and his bass voice can be heard distinctly when the class song is sung. Everybody knows Treva. She shines every minute of the day from English, Hrst period, to Chemistry, last period. Especially on the last is she a very brilliant light. She hardly gives anyone else a chance to answer a question, unless Miss Whitley calls her down. Treva just likes to talk but this is only the habit of her sex and is by all means excusable.
