HuFfer has a number of good traits, but the one that makes us like him most is his keen sense of humor. He never lets anything worry him, and whether it's a Chemistry quiz or a Hi-Y party to look forward to, he always looks on the bright side. She has proven highly efficient in all offices given her. In fact, she is so de- pendable that we have almost overworked her. We feel, in loosing Lyda, that C. H. H. S. has lost a great deal of its charm and brightness. We know that she will bring honor to the College that she attends and that someday she will bring love and happiness to someone , just as she has brought it to us in Chapel Hill High. VVe now turn to one of the most studious girls in our class. Lola not only takes six subjects and makes the honor roll, but finds time to go out for basketball as well. Her pet subject is chemistry in which she in- tends to major in College. She takes a great deal of interest in Church work and was voted the most religious in our class. Hubert is reputed to be a great swimmer, having a pond on his farm, another excellent solution for his speed. All his 26 classmates know the name of Hogan will be on the tongue tips of men. Emily came to us in September from Dur- ham High. Although she has been with us only one year she has become very popular and well-liked by the students at C. H. H. S. VVe don't know what she would do without her chewing gum, 'cause she's always chew- ing. We are sure that Emily couldn't count the times that she has been before the Stu- dent Council, but she takes it as a good sport. She was voted the dumbest person in the class of '26, but this must be one of those rare cases where ignorance is bliss because if Emily is dumb she certainly is a good old girl along with it.
