5 I 12 f special events Successful Homecoming Lasts Whole Week The atmosphere or the Homecoming week was filled with enthusiam. Monday started Homecoming week with 50's day and the Homecoming kick-off assembly. The Air Force, Rock Band performed and the Homecoming Queens were announced when Fiick Pereira asked for the envelope, please! The winners for the best dressed for 50's day were Che- ryl Cox and David Guedry. Gary Wells also was hon- ored by being named, Limbo King. Tuesday brought out the best of the cowboys. The best dressed cowboy and cowgirl were Dave Jennings and Julie Mclntosh with runners-up James Haley and Tera Kennedy. Wednesday, students had a chance to show their riding abilities by trouncing their way to the finish line on stick horses. At the pic- nic that night, seniors proved to all that they were good at something. They pushed a V.W. bug 50 yards to claim first place. Thursday, all who paid ten cents received a cup full of delicious frosty root beer to guzzle down in the least amount of time. With Fri- day ending the Homecoming activities, orange and black were prominent throughout the school. During Friday's assembly, Mark Tomlinson raced his way with his mighty steed to take first place, while Her- man Crockett proved himself to be the best guzzler at Chaparral. Q-sag 5 Q W at-fill
