BALLOO BUTTON AND BARBEC E n a clear and bright sunny Friday, October 18, students from various clubs on our campus were busy getting ready for C. I's annual Mardi-Gras. he dedication and spirit of Channel Islands students was demonstrated this year on School Pride Day. Approximately 250 stu- dents showed up on a warm Saturday in September. The students got in teams and worked on several parts of the Quad. Music was played and Scotty Matuatia and Andy Sunia entertained, although Mike MacDonald, Nicole Zanders and Leo Creger were in charge. To reward the students for their participation, Mr. Parizo graciously bought 25 pizzas and gave an inspirational speech along with free pom poms for the upcoming games.
