Q .sf wveg' ,'.,,.s , , J 6 ASB's the -school has ever had. That's what-most described the hard working but fun loving 77-78 Student Government. With the leadership of President Brian Burns and advisor Mr. Tom Parizo, this year's ASB put on many activities which exceeded most of the activities in past years. September was our debut, with the Freshmen Orientation and the Teachers' Breakfast. Along with a Welcome Back to School Dance , the excitement of what was to come was felt by everyone. The October 1, dance featuring the Perry Players from San Francisco, and our Octoberfest was enjoyed by all. Home- coming '77-78 was an extraor- dinare with STAR WARS as our theme. A long awaited vacation was in store for everybody during the month of December. And what better way to leave school than with a Christmas rally? Santa Claus and candy canes blgought the Christmas spirit to a The Spring Cultural Fair was enjoyed by everyone. Enter- tainment, booths and exquisite culinary dishes satisfied every- ones tastebuds. Our 50's week was a giant leap into the past, leather jackets, bobby socks, rolled up jeans, and slicked back duck tails were the fashions of the week. Zany contests and nostalgia brought back the memories of those momentous years the teachers had. As we reached the rising climax of the year, what a better way to end it than with a junior-Senior Prom? This first-class event will be remembered by all who attended. These were the main highlights of the year, excludin numer- ous dances and otier ASB activities. What will be most remembered by all in our ASB class will be our weekly Tuesda and Thurs- day meeting, loolling up to Brian, Bobby telling us to shut up, getting suckered into a committee, and expeciall dreading that private talk with Mr. Parizo in his office. The hard work, the extra hours, and the cooperation of all made for a momentous year and left 2,600 students very pleased with the '77-78 year at Channel Islands.
