Can that be Margaret Watkins that I see coming down the street with all those little boys ? When I got close enough to speak to her she was so angry she could hardly give me a decent word. She was hunting her husband, Don Hopper who was spending the even- ing with the boys. How glad I was that I had chosen to be an old maid school teacher. The next morning as I sauntered down to the post office for my maill met with an unusual sight. Carroll Carlock was actually whistling while washing the pool hall windows. After a short conversation with him I learned that he had taken complete charge of the pool hall andwas happily married to an old home town girl. As we stood there a large transport truck pulled up in front of Lintners. The driver was none other than Roland Hinrichs. On my way home I passed by a small beauty shop and whose name should I find on the window? None other than Bobette Dearing. After visiting with her a few minutes she told me she was moving her shop to Springfield. I was thankful for stopping in because on my way outlhappened to run into Doloros Reynolds and Shirley Edge. Doloros Reynolds told me she was married to a preacher and theywere traveling all over Illinois for Revivals. Shirley said after Dean Duckwiler had fin- ished college they were married and were living on a farm near Oakford. Seems like it keeps her busy tak- .fa I I4 X , y
