Barnes took out his petitions yesterday. Barnes will be making his first bid for a county public office. He is a native of Salt Creek township and has been a farmer for the past Z0 years. He is employed by the Mock funeral home in New Concord for the past 15 years. Barnes has been a member of the Muskingum county fair board 12 years and its vice-presi- dent. He served on the Rich Hill school board for one term and has driven school bus in Rich Hill township for 23 years. He graduated from Chandlersville high school in 1926. He is a member of the Chandlersville Methodist Church, the Chandlersville Grange and the Odd Fellow Lodge at Chandlersville. He is currently president of the Chandlersville High School Home and School Form and formerly served as president of the Rich Hill Home and School Form. ' I He is married to Madge Holland.
