. As, drive down the east end of Ijhll Street, I see a large airport,1 noticed ayplane landing gn the runway, And it's one of the world's TWA transports, I remember way back when TWA - began, I see the pilot is 'Everett Leedom, I hear that Everett is the owner of the ' 'W Chandlersville Airport now, Since the population of Chandlersville has grown, Everett has quite a business, As we turn around at the airport, Inotice stepping from the plane is the air-line hostess-- Rosemary Clapper, How neat she looks in her uniform, The plane has just arrived from Rio de Janeiro, I remember when Rosemary used to talk of her career as wanting to be an air- line hostess, She really sees the world now, l'll bet, . We turn to our right just after passing the airport, and we are driving into another busy part of the town, the Nhin Street, Oh, someone's hailing my taxi, Why: it's another one of my old friends, Beulah Taylor, Sue just came out of the Atomic Electrical Company, She tells me she is doing just fine as a private secretary for the owner of the company, Oh, that lucky guy, 'She sure is rolling in those greenbacks, Her salary now pays about five dollars an hour, and she now types an average 110 words a minute, We are now passing a beautiful, large, lime green building with the sign in front bearing the name of ,I0's Modern Dancing School, the owner and head teacher being ,Ioan Huston, ,Ioan took up dancing right after graduation, and Isee she is making a career of it, She and her shows tour the cities in the United States constantly, Across the street from ,Ioan's dancing school is a doctor's office, Who is the doctor ? '?'? ? ? Why it's Bill Adams, There he comes out of his office., carrying his black bag, he climbs into a Cadillac, Beulah tells me that he hardly ever has a rnoment's rest, , Also, beside Bill's office there is a beauty shop which has windows from the roof to the ground, A pretty sight, It is white and pale blue, Inside lsee a long row of hair dryers, The owner of this shop is gi McConaha, and the sign she displays on the front reads, Miss jeanie's Beauty Parlor , Sie now specializes in hair tinting and bleaching, Now, as Ihave had Bill Leonard drive me through some parts of the city, we are leaving it and approaching some of the beautiful scenery of the country outside of Chandlersville, Ihave asked Bill to drive Beulah and me to the most beautiful spot in Qiio, It lies on a piece of land about three miles west of Chandlersville, We arenow approaching the famous tourist ranch, It is the Smith Bar X Ranch Hotel, which is owned by Earl Smith, Ihave planned to stay over-night in this hotel and have asked Beulah to share my hotel room with me tonight, so we could have the evening meal together, I, Georgia I.-ijohnson, will return to my home in San Francisco, where Iwill continue my work as a scenery photographer in other countries, Iknow by the time Ileave on my plane tomorrow, Iwill have long memories of my old home town, fwhere most of my friends have helped to build the newer and large city of ChandlersvilleJ to cherish in my heart always, A'
