First, I visited rambling Muriel Wright, who had just completed a good will tour among the Martians. Billy Joe Hamilton is still stuck at B.U. where he went in search of a well-known alumni. Herman Parker and family are well-known citizens of South Butler. Their main interest seems to be raising gophers. Their next door neighbor, Rita Shrull, has chosen North Logan as a suitable site for raising woodchucks. Gary Slick Hall is assistant commentator on a Space Magazine. He enjoys reporting in intimate details, the things he flies into. Vernon Epley is making an advanced astronomical study of the stars from a lofty point on the moon. His high-powered spectroscope also reveals interesting curves. As I cruised by a prominent restaurant, 1 stopped and found that Bobby Appling is head chef specializing in outer space foods. Ray Powell, with all his talents, is operating a new experimental farm in Logan County. Inquiring about Sharon Thomason, I was told that she now owns the Hillcrest and has just employed a robot car hop and business for her is really booming. Joe Gillum is chief adviser to the Aeronautical Union on the sub- ject of jet bombers and space liners. I picked up a newspaper and found that Catherine Deberry is en- gaged to an outer space cadet and plans to be married in late June. Judye Anderson is aboard the satellite that is orbiting the sun. She is warm and happy. Roger Duncan has just completed his research work on atomic fall- out and is ready to take over his new job at the new laboratory on the moon. Mary Head, whose great ambition was to be a nurse, has recently taken over the job of .lead matron at a children's home. Thelma Cox, still very shy and retiring, is, confidentially, writing a best seller on The Adventages of Being a Bachelor Girl. B. T. Thomas looks very nifty in her new sergeant's uniform com- plete with ribbons and decorations. Freeda Belcher has become a successful business woman. She en- joys driving the latest model cars and sporting latest fashion hats. Ora Brown is a very popular beautician in Russellville. Her slogan is, I need your head in my business. Cruising down through Richelieu, I noticed a new super modem space ship garage and found it was owned and operated by Wayne Thomason. We have failed to contact Bobby Maxwell. When last heard from he was cruising around near a blonde near the planet Venus. He had just passed a redhead on Mercury. All in all, the Class of 1959 seems to be successful and we are very proud of the fact that we got our start down on earth in dear old Chandlers High School. 26 SENIOR PAGE NAME Muriel Wright Gary Hall Vemon Epley Billy Joe Hamilton Judye Anderson Rita Shrull Neva Woodall Sharon Thomason Mary Head Catherine Deberry Ora Brown Freeda Belcher Herman Parker Bobby Maxwell Bobby Appling Roger Duncan Walter D. This addition will benefit the entire school and community and we have sincerest confidence that if we could look into the future of our school, we should see its continued improvement and growth.
