THE SCHOOL’S PLEA TO US To give thanks to God for what you have learned; to do great things in secret, therefore receiving great rewards; to forgive and forget; to live clean lives; to know the highest things taught from one degree of glory to another; to begin with the earth and climb beyond the sky, for United we stand ; for your youthful dreams, hopes, and ambitions to begin now, not end; for you to beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them; the school makes finer homes and money is a tool, use it in the right places and on the right things---this is my plea to you and I am working still for those behind you. 2

PRINCIPAL Mr. Shelton, by giving us his faith, help, and trust, has won the love and respect of the entire student body of Chandlers School. Since his principalship began at our Alma Mater in the fall of 1952, he has worked continuously and successfully to raise the standards of the student body. We, the Bear Staff of 1956, do earnestly and sincerely congratulate him on his numerous achievements and wish him many more successful years at Chandlers. 4
