1954 - There we were — green as grass and scared to death. Our sponsor was Mrs. Boyd, and we had forty' students in our class. Larry Simpson made the Varsity team, which made us proud. Our class officers were: President, Sandra Younker; Vice-president, Larry Simpson; Secretary, Marion May; Treas- urer, Gayle Ann Hatchett; News Report- er, Linda Williams. We enjoyed a skat- ing party in February and a trip to Wyan- dotte Cave. 1955 - Then we began our sophomore year; we lost a few of our students. Our spon- sor was Mr. Boyle. The class officers were: President, Larry Simpson; Vice- president, Leroy Hildebrant; Secretary, Doris Hetzel; Treasurer, Darlene Michel; News Reporter, Linda Sue Williams. We got our class jackets in our sophomore year, also. 1956 - Then we began our junior year starting with thirty-two students and Mr. Boyle as our sponsor again. Our class officers were: President, Joe Brown; Vice-president, Larry Simp- son; Secretary, Gayle Ann Hatchett; Treasurer, Eugene Cannon; and News Reporters, Marion May and Linda Williams. The juniors had as much fun practicing as they did presenting their play In Again! Out Again! directed by Mrs. Marshall to make money for the Junior- Senior Prom which was held at Fritz's Cafe in Evansville, Indiana. 1957 - Now, at last, the year, our last year at C. H. S. Mr. Fisher is our sponsor for this year. There are twenty-seven students still together for one last try. Class officers are: President, Doris Hetzel; Vice-president, Dave Tisdale; Secretary, Jimmy Wright; Treasurer, Eugene Cannon; and News Reporter, Gayle Ann Hatchett. The basketball queen for this year was Doris Hetzel; Maid of Honor, Betty Townsend; attendants were Linda Williams and Vonita Majors One of the cheerleaders was Gayle Ann Hatchett. Our class trip includes New York, Washington, D. C. and Philadelphia. Then comes the happiest day of our lives, when we walk up that long aisle toward success and happy futures for the rest of our lives ... Graduation.
