Gore. -Iffototy In September of 1952, forty-two seventh graders enrolled in Chandler Junior High. Their sponsor was Roy Smith. In the second week of school they elected their class officers. They were : president, Larry Simpson; vice-president, Leroy Hildebrant; secretary, Linda Williams, treasurer, Jack Bock; and news reporter, Dana Bruce, We took our class trip to Spring Mill State Park this year. Our eighth grade year was both a sad and happy year. We had a few new pupils : Sandra Younker and Lois Camp. Our sponsor was Mrs. Bernice Lowell. Our class trip again was to Spring Mill Park. Our class officers were: president, Leroy Hildebrant; vice-president, Frank Spencer; secretary, Marion May; and treasurer, Linda Williams. Our reporters were Dana Bruce and Doris Hetzel. That year we crowned our eighth grade basketball queen, Marion May. Her attendants were Shirley Hatchett, Gayle Hatchett, Irma Schnapf, Sylvia Simon, Doris Hetzel and Linda Koerner. Our basketball team was pretty good that year. Don Roll, Larry Simpson, Robert Buckman, Johnnie Eidson, Jack Bock, Leroy Hildebrant and several other boys dressed out. The cheer- leaders were: Linda Williams, Dorothy Bennett, and Norma Fisher. In 1954, forty freshmen enrolled in Chandler High School. Our sponsor was Mrs. Boyd. The third week of school we elected our class officers. They were: president, Sandra Younker; vice-president, Larry Simpson; secretary, Marion May; treasurer, Gayle Hatchett; and news reporter, Linda Williams. We had a skating party in Febru- ary and a class trip at the end of the year. The year (1955-1956) sophomores at last. We had as our sponsor, Mr. Boyles. We ordered our class jackets this year. Our class officers for the year were: president, Larry Simpson; vice-president, Leroy Hildebrant; secretary, Doris Hetzel; treasurer, Darlene Michel; reporter, Linda Williams. Juniors at last! We lost a few of our kids. Our officers for the year are: president, Joe Brown; vice-president, Larry Simpson; secretary, Gayle Hatchett; treasurer, Eu- gene Cannon; and news reporter, Marion May and Linda Williams. We are planning a Prom for the seniors. It is to be at Fritz's in Evansville. First we will have a dinner and then a dance. Mr. Boyles is our junior sponsor. 32
