This organizaTion was TormulaTed in re- sponse To numerous requesTs oT sTudenTs aT Champlain Tor an opporTuniTy To learn more abouT various aspecTs oT psychology ouTside OT The class- room. During The summer period, The club had a membership oT abouT TwenTy--Tive sTudenTs and has since Tripled ThaT number. An elecTion oT oTTicers was held and a consTiTu- Tion drawn up, and 'immediaTely aTTer, The club received iTs charTer. The club's program commiTTee has shown excel- lenT choices oT psychological subiecTs designed To be oT inTeresT To members oT The college commu- niTy. These acTiviTies included addresses on mariTal relaTions, psychiaTric social case work,.and voca- Tional guidance, given by auThoriTies in Their respecTive Tields. ln addiTion To These Tallcs, showings oT moTion picTures highlighred imporTanT aspecTs oT psychol- ogy. One oT The mosT successTul meeTings was aTTended by over one hundred people. The purpose was To expose The quaclaeries oT palmisTry, phrenol- ogy, Tea-leaT reading, TorTune Telling and graphology. The evening was closed wiTh The demonsTraTion oT a seance. During The year, sTudenTs were given The opporTuniTy To learn and To use The various equipmenT ThaT is available aT The psychology deparTmenT's TesTing deparTmenT. All The club's acTiviTies have been open To all sTudenTs -and Their communiTy guesTs.
