Most students think that figuring out grades is an easy task for the teach er. 'Why didnit I get the grade I deserv- ed?' Well, chances are, you did. It's no picnic keeping track of tests, checking on make-up work, and figuring out Hnal averages. It's hard to decide when a student is on the borderline which way he goes, up or down. If you think your grades pain you, think again. Theyare also a pain for the faculty. Teaching is more than grading papers and giving tests, it is patrolling the halls and restrooms, monitoring detention after school, and chaperon- ing extracurricular activities. The av- erage student doesn't realize the time that's spent in supervising groups, clubs, or sports. For some teachers the school day lasts 3 or 4 hours after 2:40. Many of the contributions are forgot- ten in the normal, everyday of the av- i V? t j erage CHS student.
