Not as many girls participate in NBA as the boys. But for those who do play, there is never a dull moment. Every other minutes a thump can be heard, and then giggles, or a few other choice words. The league consists of 4 teams. In the tight for lst place are the teams of Julie Karenke, Val Cambell, and Renee Thomas. Cindy Sawayda's team is hanging in there. ew Sport far 63,4 Athletes ' ' In J .V. action, Linda Conley adds another point toward winning their first game. The CHS school year began this fall with a new sports program. A girls vol- leyball team, with great enthusiasm and a promising future was initiated. Under the supervision of Mrs. Gretchen Gavo- las, Kim Medwick led the team with a grand total of 40 points. Following with 35 points were Karen Novotny and Marsha Smith. There is no doubt in Mrs. Gavolas' mind that the girls were off to a good start, and that the next season shows talent for an excit- ing year. After years of ballet, the form of Kim Med- wick's has paid off. Another one of Karen Novotny's great helps get the ball o-o-over! SCI ve S t Vo1leybal1l115
