1041 Baseball Scott Freer shows that clowning around is the only way to play. The CHS Flashes posted an 8-1-1 record to tie with Mathews for the Trumbull AA League title and were 21-4 overall. The season was very im- pressive with the opening game win over Niles 13-4, and the closing game over Lakeview 10-0. This year's team and coaches worked well together. The strengths of the team were good pitching and fine team- work. The squad boasted impressive figures as a .343 batting average with 20 homeruns and a 1.92 earned run average. The Flashes were led by the hitting of Mike Hutchison, the pitching of Dan Gross, and the defensive play- ing of the rest of the team. The Flashes were composed of 7 seniors and 8 jun- iors. Coach Thorne should have a solid base for the 1979 team. What brand do you chew, Willie? Z'6L4JV ' .... it
