Student Council Changes bring lively octivities Adjusting to changes in Council as well as throughout the school this year might have caused a setback in getting activities under way last tall. But under the leadership ot Terri Nally, president, and Mrs. Richmond, spon- sor, enthusiasm spread throughout Central. Homecoming, Beat Urbana Week, and the District convention in Bloomington were the tirst ot the year's activities. Sponsoring Intra- State exchanges and revising the stu- dent Handbook were proiects contin- ued this year. Election Board members sponsored by Mrs. Dexter ran the elec- tions of Homecoming, Miss Merry Christmas, Vice-Versa King and Stu- dent Council members tor next year. RIGHT Bob Simpson iives at the Homecoming Hop sponsored by the Honor Society. ,Honor Society Homecoming Hop sufficed dough In the eyes of Honor Society members the Homecoming Hop which they spon- sored proved to be extremely successful. Along with a few customary bake sales, these members labeled with the nickname bookworms made enough money to cover the cost ot their annual tling, the Honor Society Banquet. Probationary soph- omore members were tapped in the fall and besides keeping a high scholastic aver- age, became involved in the club's activities and a table at the International Supper.
