FOX, M.A. Moderator 4C Sidewinders Chairman Social Studies Department American History I, ll Treasurer Catholic Teachers Association Since the study of the privileges of our national heritage and of our country's place in this world is such a complex one, the Social Studies Department is divided into a number of different sections in order to cover the vast amount of material, Under the direction of Mr. Joseph Fox the Department presents to the Freshmen the basic facts about the various countries of the world in Economic Geography. The Sophomores are given a course in World History from the beginning of time. American History is given to the Juniors and Seniors to round out the curriculum. Math Department BRO. ROMAN L. WICINSKI, S.M., M.S. Moderator AE Chairman Math Department Science Club Sodality Student Council The goal ot the Math Department is to stimulate interest among the students in the numerous applications of mathematics in the modern world. This is evident from the varied subjects ottered by the Department, which is under the direction of Bro. Roman Wicinski, S.M. lt includes Elementary Algebra in the Freshman year, Tenth Year and Eleventh Year Math, and the tour electives - Trigonometry, Advanced Algebra, Solid Geometry, and Ad- vanced Math - in the Senior year. The Mathematics Department also con- ducts an elective course in Mechanical Draw- ing for any Seniors interested in engineering. The course is instructed by Bro.
